TILLREDA portable induction cooktop, 1 zone white - IKEA (2024)

Stopped working after 18 daysRachelI got this to try out induction cooking before buying an entire induction range and loved it. However, after less than three weeks, it stopped working. It turns on for about a second, then shuts off entirely, and then the display briefly shows an 8, and then the residual heat indicator and the lock button are lit up. Nothing in the manual explains what causes this or what to do about it. 1

Awesome!!!ChristopherI’ve had mine for several years now & it still works great!!! Use it in my upstairs bedroom (have a fridge/microwave/toaster/etc) instead of going down in the main kitchen & waking everyone up. Easy to use and much safer then using gas. Definitely worth buying!5

Induction cook topAnaWorks great, fast, easy to clean and great price5

Amazing single range RosaI really like it, the heat is very good, it only works with pots and pans for induction, and it is very safe. My neighbor saw me using it and bought one too. 5

Loud Fan Goes on For No ReasonStevenIn general I love this product, I bought 2 of them in the past year. One is in a rental unit and the other I am using. Pros: It heats really quickly and efficiently - best for boiling water, soup etc in incredible time. Cons: It doesn't really do simmer well - it's almost too hot. You need to really watch what you are making - even on the lowest level, or it will burn. The biggest issue I have is that the rather LOUD fan goes on randomly - even if the stove has not been used for hours. It's a loud fan, so you will want to unplug it. This is just annoying as you then have to plug it back in and then unlock it every time you want to use it. It also seems like a waste of energy to have a cooling fan on when it's not overheating (or even warm). Strange.4

Induction for the Win!AMy 4-burner range died July. Normally I wouldn’t freak out about that in Summer, but coffee first thing is non-negotiable. I couldn’t get a replacement for 3 weeks, so I needed to find a single-burner anything, fast. This was going to be used for a summer cottage sans AC, so the idea of not heating up the atmosphere seemed a plus. I researched dozens of options before finding IKEA could deliver the TILLREDA within 48 hours, so for $60, I said, “Why not?”The learning curve is minute, but the benefits big! My first go was a moka pot of espresso, which boiled in under a minute. From there, I was hooked. I was glad I bought a SENSUELL pan at the same time, because some of my stainless cookware wasn’t magnetic enough to work. I’ve since bought a $10 conductive plate to bridge that gap.Now I use the TILLREDA for anything long-form, like a 4-gallon pot of bone broth over as many hours. It performs beautifully, cleans easily and can hang on a hook when you’re done with it!5

Worked for about five uses, then failed mid-cook at level three and will not turn back on. Appears to be dead. No fuse or reset button to revive it.JosephWorked for about five uses, then failed mid-cook at level three and will not turn back on. Appears to be dead. No fuse or reset button to revive it.1

ExcellentAllegraI'm very happy with this induction cooker. Unlike others on the market, it does not have any unsightly writing on the surface, and as a result is a clean and elegant, presence. It works wonderfully well and quickly, even on a low wattage setting, and is extremely simple to use. 5

Love itLanceVery convenient for heating anything you would use the stove top.5

I like itMagedEasy to operate and good effectiveBut as you know, he needs special pan4

Clunky and noisy, but does the jobDawnTILLREDA is a bit clunky and noisy, but it heats up quickly and has worked well so far. We bought it so we'd have an induction burner while our kitchen was being remodeled. It served the purpose.4

Compact and portableBarbaraI’ve never used an induction cooktop before. It takes a bit of getting used to. I have it set up on a nissafors workstation in my kitchen. It’s faster than my electric stovetop for everything from boiling water for pasta to searing to the perfect grilled cheese sandwich. Changing to a lower temperature is quick - no waiting for elements to cool down. I had to purchase new pots because my old ones (40 years old) weren’t compatible. Overall, it was a good investment for me.5

SmallJohnIt seems to work well, but the small size of the burner isn't well communicated by the packaging and store displays. This is less of a problem online, where there are clear pictures.I'm not sure if there's a logistical reason it needs to be so small, or if that's just what you can get at this price point.3

Fantastic extra burnerLanceSo versatile, use on countertop in kitchen or next to the BBQ grill. The large burner heats up really fast with water boiling in under 5 minutes. Stable, even heat and quick, easy clean up.5

Solid purchaseEstelleI'd never realized until now how much gas stove emissions were upsetting my asthma! And it works better than gas too! Quicker, more responsive, and im not sweltering over a hot stove in the summer. I already use a cast iron skillet so didn't need any new pans, needed a new pot but Ikea sells one for like $10. Yeah no I'm so happy with this purchase even six months later5

Loving itPhiyenI tried this out before I replace my gas range with a convection cooktop and I like that it heated up fast, easy to use, no gas odor, no ignition problem and good price. I had to buy new pots and pans for a convection cooktop.4

Works well!AndreEasy to use, works great, compact.5

Very nice little cooktopArianneI bought this to cut back on kitchen emissions in the winter and have been very pleased with its performance. It boils water SO fast, faster than my gas stove. It also wipes down easily. Most of my existing stainless steel pans (calphalon) work beautifully on it. Having read all of the reviews, I will note that just just being magnetic or stainless steel is not a guarantee that a pan will be compatible with an induction cooktop. Many pans have a copper layer embedded in the base which will inhibit induction. Overall, I am very happy with my cooktop. Now I just have to wait for ikea to come out with an induction Moka pot.5

Wørkṣ Wønders!ElileWørks wonders! Highly recommended.5
